This was recorded on the 20th anniversary of the Challenger explosion; the original piece was written on February 1st, 2003, the day of the Columbia disaster. Listening today, it sadly echoes back on several moments since.

It struck me the other day that almost all the programs in the original run of this project have dealt with longing. So it only follows that a few of my favorites deal with our relationship to outer space.

Dedicated with love and hope to Anya, Griffin, Madison, and especially Spencer, whom I helped bring into the world thirteen years ago this month.
